Criminal Court on Thursday sentenced Mohamed 'Yaya' Nabeel a year in prison for creating and possessing pornography.
Nabeel is charged over:
-
Creating pornography
-
Possession of pornography
-
He was charged after nude videos of him, engaging in sexual activities went public via TikTok in September last year.
Nabeel has denied the charges against him.
However, the Criminal Court ruled that he evidence submitted by the state proved the charges beyond reasonable doubt.
He was found guilty of creating pornographic material and was sentenced to one year in prison.
Nabeel's place of residence was searched by the police in connection with the case. The laptop on his bed was seized and analysed, and photos and videos were found showing him naked.
The evidence being enough to prove the charges against Nabeel, he was sentenced on creating pornographic content to another one month and six days' jail term.
