Religious leaders of Adaalath Party, who are part of the ruling coalition and have formed an alliance with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in the upcoming presidential election, met with the president on Wednesday and expressed their support for the government.
The religious conservative party said the clerics met with the president at the President's Office. About the meeting, which was attended by 11 clerics who are members of the Adhaalath Party, said:

Neither the government nor the party has revealed what exactly was discussed.
Presidential spokesperson Miuvan Mohamed said that during the meeting, the clerics expressed their support for President Solih's policies. He said they had shared with the president the views of scholars on the upcoming presidential elections where Adaalath Party would work together.
