Housing ministry announced on Wednesday that recipients of land and flats in Male under the Binnveriyaa and Gedhoruveriyaa schemes will be announced this month ahead of the coming Eid holidays.
The Binnveriyaa scheme is designed to allot land from Male for natives of the capital city. The Gedhoruveriyaa scheme is meant to provide flats to natives as well as residents who have lived in Male for over 15 years.
State housing minister Akram Kamaluddin told Atoll Times that the final process of finalising the list of beneficiaries is already underway.
"As president [Ibrahim Mohamed] Solih said, we will make public the list of people who will get land and flats this month. Both lists will be announced together," he said.
The government will remain closed from Friday, July 23 to Saturday, July 1 for Eid al-Adha holidays.

For joint applications, each additional participant will be assigned an additional 400 sqft
-
If more than seven people participate in the joint application, the total size will be capped at 4,000 sqft
