A man has been arrested in connection with a dangerous fight that went down in Fuvahmulah on Friday.
A 37-year-old man was seriously injured in the fight on Thursday evening and is being treated in the ICU of the IGMH.
Police told Atoll Times on Saturday that a local man has been arrested under a warrant in connection with the case, but the police declined to provide further details.
The injured man was brought to Male by a military helicopter on Saturday morning.
Fuvahmulah Hospital Manager Ahmed Lirar said the man had been in the ICU since he was taken to the hospital at around 5pm on Friday.
"He was in critical condition. He was being treated in the ICU until he was transferred to Male Saturday morning," Lirar said.
