Criminal Court on Thursday sentenced Bangladeshi MD Alamgir to three years in prison for 40 charges of creating pornography after he pleaded guilty.
The state had on 17 September filed 40 charges against Alamgir for the production of pornographic video.
During the first hearing held on 19 September, Alamgir pleaded guilty to the charges
With brief descriptions of each charge made against him, the Criminal Court published the sentences on its website, with him being sentenced to 27 days in prison for every count.

As the Prosecutor General's office had said, his sentences for 40 charges add up to three years in total.
According to Alamgir’s statement that was leaked, he had recorded video footage of 45-50 people engaging in same sex acts with him.
Alamgir had earlier pleaded guilty to three counts of same sex relations and was sentenced by the court on 31 August to seven months and six days in prison.
