The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday launched a special portal for filing bribery cases related to the presidential election.

The ACC has set up an anonymous complaint system and has also included a booklet on what electoral bribery is and how to beware of it.

The ACC said that although the portal allows for confidential submission of information, updates on the case can only be provided to those who identify themselves and leave a line of contact. In addition, the commission will provide protection to whistleblowers.

“Special attention should be paid to include as much information as possible through this portal,” the ACC said.

The commission said the following should be considered when filing a complaint:

  • The form must have the sections indicating mandatory information filled; otherwise, the form will not be accepted

  • The case must be within the jurisdiction of the ACC; If it doesn’t fit the jurisdiction, it won’t be accepted

The ACC on Thursday issued a set of guidelines to reduce corruption in connection with next month's presidential election.
