Urbanco on Thursday revised the regulations residential building ge in Hulhumale to allow 10-storey developments.
The regulations have so far allowed residential buildings in Hulhumale to be built up to seven storeys with terrace. However, Urbanco announced on Thursday evening that it has revised the regulations to allow residential buildings to be raised up to 31 metres or 10 storeys high.
According to Urbanco:

If the building height is more than 15 metres, a lift must be installed

There should be a maximum of four metres of lift machine room space from the terrace

Urbanco also made another change to the building code; The company has increased the vehicle parking requirements and required parking within the building.
According to Urbanco:

Parking space for at least two motorcycles must be provided for each two-bedroom flat

One motorcycle parking space must be allocated for each one-bedroom flat
In addition:

The minimum motorcycle parking size is 0.8×2 metres

Car parking is a minimum of 2.5×4.8 metres
