Young man dies after falling from motorcycle in Fuvahmulah

According to police, the accident occurred when the speeding motorcycle hit a speed breaker on Naibu Thutthu Road in Fuvahmulah.

A young man died on Tuesday after being injured in a motorcycle accident in Fuvahmulah on Saturday.

It is learned that Ismail Hassan, 30, of Debudaaruge/Fuvahmulah died while receiving treatment for serious injuries in the accident.

According to police, the accident occurred when the speeding motorcycle hit a speed breaker on Naibu Thutthu Road in Fuvahmulah.

After the accident at 10:30pm Saturday, Ismail was first treated at the island's hospital. He was transferred to ADK Hospital for further treatment the following afternoon.

Police said the young man died while undergoing treatment at ADK Hospital early Tuesday morning.
