A 6-year-old girl was injured in a traffic accident at Malé-Hulhumale highway Tuesday evening when a van collided with a motorcycle near the seaplane terminal area.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 5:53 p.m. on the highway, when a van exiting the seaplane terminal struck a motorcycle.

Both the child and the motorcycle's driver sustained injuries in the crash.
The child is currently receiving treatment at Treetop Hospital, while the driver is being treated at Hulhumalé Hospital.
Authorities have not disclosed the severity of their injuries.
