STELCO building allocated for president-elect's office

The Office of the President-elect has been allocated office space on the fifth floor of the State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) building.

The Civil Services Commission (CSC) previously appointed Abdul Raheem Abdullah as the Director-General of Transition under the Presidential Transition Act. The Director-General is tasked with overseeing all matters related to the government transition.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had earlier assigned Hussain Amir, Secretary of Corporate Services at the President’s Office, to handle this matter on behalf of the President’s Office.
A directive issued on Thursday instructed government offices and institutions to prepare for any changes to the administrative structure and senior personnel during the transition to a new government. President Solih also urged all appointees to continue performing their duties until the end of his current presidential term.
