President, first lady exchange Eid greetings with public
President Muizzu also conveyed Eid greetings to the people of Maldives.
President Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed greeted the public on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr on Sunday.
The Eid greeting event took place from 9 am to 11 am at the presidential residence, Muliaage. Ministers, members of parliament, and a large number of citizens attended the event to extend their greetings.
President Muizzu also conveyed Eid greetings to the people of Maldives. In his message, he stated that self-reform should be the primary focus of Eid. He further reaffirmed the government's commitment to upholding the principles of Islam.
Last year, the president and first lady held the Eid greeting event at Muliaage for one hour. This year, the event was extended to two hours.
