People sustained injuries from an explosion at HDh. Kulhudhuffushi airport, with one of them in critical condition, on Thursday.
Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital's spokesperson Mohamed Moosa told Atoll Times that a total of four people had been brought to the hospital with injuries so far in connection with an incident at the airport. He said:

"His operation [of the critically ill man] is currently underway in the theatre," said Mohamed Moosa.
According to police, a group of people were injured at Kulhudhuffushi Airport while trying to gas a cylinder used to douse the fire at the airport.
The regional airports company, which runs the airport, also said the incident took place during firefighting training when they were trying to add gas to the gas cylinder used to douse the fire.
