Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on phone with Maldivian President-elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Saturday to discuss the ongoing war between Palestine and Israel and the Middle East issue.
This is the first time Muizzu has spoken to a foreign head of state on the phone since he was elected president.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Muizzu discussed the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the related humanitarian crisis, according to a post made on 'X' on Saturday evening by Turkey's Directorate of Communications.
During the call, Erdogan had assured that Turkey is doing everything possible to bring stability and aid to the Middle East and is constantly looking for new ways to do so, according to the X post.
In addition, Erdogan congratulated Muizzu on his victory in the presidential election.
