The heads of government companies have started resigning.

Managing directors of companies that have resigned before they are replaced at the end of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's rule.

The managing director of the Fenaka Corporation, Mohamed Saeed, resigned on Wednesday, while the managing director of the Maldives Airports Company (MACL), Mahjub Shujau, also resigned from his post.

With Mahjub's resignation, the company's running has been handed over to deputy managing director Ibrahim Thoha.

Meanwhile, MMPRC Managing Director Thoyib Mohamed has also resigned from his post.

With the change of government, new people will be appointed as heads of government companies. The heads of the companies are expected to be appointed next week.
