President appoints climate envoy, 11 more state ministers
With the new appointments on Wednesday, the total number of state ministers in the government is 36.

President Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday appointed a Special Envoy for Climate Change and 11 State Ministers for eight ministries.
Ali Shareef, Ma. Nylonge/Male, was appointed as the Special Envoy for Climate Change at a ceremony held at the President's Office on Wednesday.
Most of the state ministers appointed on Wednesday were appointed to the Higher Education Ministry.
