The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) to develop the infrastructure of Hulhumale Phase III.
According to a brief press release issued by HDC on the project:
-
Under this agreement, the electricity network of Hulhumale Phase III will be completed
-
Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) will be installed in the area
-
Roads will be developed
"Roads will be developed to improve fire safety and water and sewerage systems," the statement said.
The HDC has not yet announced the cost of the project.
CMEC is also the contractor of the Hiyaa flats established in Hulhumale Phase II during the government of former President Abdullah Yameen. This government also handed over the Rasmale project and some of the works to CMEC earlier this year.
