A system has been set up to report any aviation violations to the attention of the Directorate of Aviation Security Administration (DASA) of the Aviation Security Regulatory Authority.
The Defense Ministry has issued a circular saying that the system was established as part of its efforts to ensure the safety of Maldivian civil aviation.
The circular states that any violation of rules and regulations that may affect the safety of civil aviation will be reported through the system. Thus:
-
Both workers, passengers and the public at airports, aircrafts or safety-related facilities can report problems
-
The system was installed on 31st of March
A 'confidential reporting' system has also been set up to report cases without revealing the personal information of the complainant.
