Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded the contract for the development of H.A.Dhidhdhoo airport.
The agreement for the airport work was signed between MTCC and the Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure at a ceremony held in the island on Friday.

The agreement will include the construction of a passenger terminal, fire building and administrative office for the airport with a 1,500-metre runway. In addition, a fire pond and airfield lighting system will be installed.
The cost of the project is MVR 257.21 million.
This airport too is a presidential promise.
MTCC was awarded the practical work of two airports last Thursday as the parliamentary elections loom.
In addition, MTCC was also awarded the contract on Thursday to conduct surveys before the development of another three airports.
