A 64-year-old man was found dead in a room of a house in Haa Dhaalu Atoll Hanimaadhoo island on Friday evening.
Police in a media message said that the man found dead was a Maldivian who was renting the room in the house. He was found dead after police entered his room, following reports of his inactivity since Friday evening.
According to police:

When police entered the room, the man was lying motionless on the bed

He was pronounced dead when he was taken to the island health centre
Further investigations are underway into the incident, police said.
