Speaker of the Parliament, Abdul Raheem Abdulla has said that gaining all the seats in the by-election of the Male City Council and Haa Dhaalu atoll Kulhudhuffushi City Council is proof that the support for President Mohammed Muizzu is growing among the people.
The Election Commission on Saturday held elections to elect members for vacant seats in councils. The PNC won three seats in the capital city and the Kulhudhuffushi city council by a large margin.
Congratulating the elected members of the council, Abdul Raheem thanked the people who voted for them. He gave the credit for another major victory to President Muizzu.
Abdul Raheem described the election results as proof that ‘support for President Muizzu is increasing among the people’.
