Experienced journalist Adam Haleem, known as Mundoo Adam Haleem, has been appointed as the head of the official residence of the speaker.
Speaker of parliament, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, moved to the M. Muraidhooge on July 25. Three days later, Adam Hameel has been appointed as the chief of staff of the house.
Parliament's communications director Hassan Ziyau told Atoll Times on Thursday that Haleem was appointed to the post on July 28 under the powers conferred on the speaker by the rules of the parliament.
