Young marathoner in Hulhumale dies after sports car hit
The deceased was identified as Hassan Samah, 23, a prison guard working for the Correctional Service.
A young man was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding sports car while attending a marathon in Hulhumale Friday morning.
The accident happened in front of the Ooredoo office building near Central Park at around 2 am.
The young man sustained serious head and face injuries in the accident and died shortly after being taken to Hulhumale Hospital.
The deceased was identified as Hassan Samah, 23, a prison guard working for the Correctional Service.
The driver of the car involved in the accident has been arrested. He did not have a driver's license, police said.
A young man was seriously injured in another accident in Male Thursday morning.
