A 16-year-old boy injured in a road accident near the Maafannu bus station on Sunday night has been discharged from hospital, police confirmed.
The accident occurred when a speeding motorcycle collided with a pedestrian and subsequently struck a pickup truck near MarryBrown.
The incident resulted in the death of 17-year-old Yusuf Alsan Mohamed, who was operating the motorcycle at the time. The 16-year-old boy, who was also on the motorcycle, received treatment for injuries and has since been released.
A 40-year-old man who was also injured in the accident remains in the intensive care unit. According to authorities, the man was initially placed on a ventilator but has now been taken off it. He was struck by the motorcycle while crossing the road.
Police have confirmed that an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
