A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on the Hulhumale highway Saturday morning after his motorcycle collided with a traffic cone near the solar panels.

The accident occurred at 8:19 am, according to police.

In a statement to the media, police confirmed that the deceased was a Bangladeshi national. He was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment but was pronounced dead at around 9 am.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
