17 foreigners hospitalised over food poisoning

Seventeen foreigners detained at the Hulhumale Detention Centre have been admitted to Hulhumale Hospital after experiencing symptoms of food poisoning, according to Maldives Immigration.
Immigration stated on Saturday that the individuals are receiving medical treatment, with priority given to their recovery. However, the cause of the food poisoning has not been confirmed.
Photos circulating on social media show detainees being transported to the hospital in an ambulance, with police cordoning off the hospital entrance.
