Saudi Arabia has donated an additional 10 tonnes of dates to the Maldives.
Every year, Saudi Arabia provides dates to the Maldives during the month of Ramadan. Earlier this year, the Saudi government donated 50 tonnes. With the latest donation, the total amount provided this year has reached 60 tonnes.
A ceremony was held at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs on Monday to distribute the additional dates. The donation was handed over by the Minister of Islamic Affairs at the event, which was attended by officials from the Saudi Embassy in the Maldives.
The donation was made by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah, and Guidance.
