A total of 646 flats in Hulhumale have been reserved for the employees of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), with the selected employees receiving award letters.
Recently, a special function was organised to hand over the documents to the employees who have been allotted flats under the HDC employees' flat scheme.
Most of the flats allotted to HDC employees are part of a housing project that was handed over to Amin Construction in 2016.

In a statement shared with Atoll Times, HDC told Atoll Times on Thursday that the employees who will be allotted flats were selected on the basis of their length of service, employment performance and housing status.

"This project will provide a lot of relief to HDC employees and families in terms of livelihood," HDC said in the statement.
