
Raud arrested over woman's fall
Police confirmed that mobile phones belonging to seven individuals, including Raud and Yumnu, have been seized under a court order.
Raud Ahmed Zilal, who was present in the building with Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed at the time of her fall from a window at H. Fentenoige last Thursday night, has been arrested, according to police.
Raud was taken into custody at 6:20 pm under a court order issued on the grounds of non-cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
Speaking at a press conference earlier on Thursday, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen stated: "Our efforts until last night indicate that there is a case of corroboration on Raud's behalf. We have now sought a court order for his re-arrest."
Police confirmed that mobile phones belonging to seven individuals, including Raud and Yumnu, have been seized under a court order as part of the investigation.
Authorities have also released the names of seven others believed to be involved in the case. Their passports have been seized to prevent travel while investigations continue.
Police have not yet disclosed further details on the evidence gathered or any additional arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
