The Maldives Police Service has announced that vehicles parked on Majeedhee Magu in Malé will be towed, and action will be taken against their owners.
In a statement issued on Thursday night, police confirmed the commencement of towing operations targeting vehicles parked along the road in violation of parking regulations. According to the statement, owners of such vehicles will face penalties, and the vehicles will only be released after 48 hours.
“Please pay special attention to parking your vehicles in the designated parking zones,” the statement read.
Police reported that a total of 42 vehicles were removed from Majeedhee Magu during the day’s operation. These included:

37 two-wheeled vehicles

4 four-wheeled vehicles
The police also expressed appreciation to members of the public for their cooperation in maintaining road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
