Sri Lankan president to visit Maldives on Monday

At the invitation Dr Mohamed Muizzu, President of Maldives, Anura Kumara Disanayaka, President of Sri Lanka, is scheduled to undertake a state visit to the Maldives from 28 to 30 July.
During the visit, President Dr Muizzu and President Disanayaka will hold official discussions to enhance cooperation between the Maldives and Sri Lanka in mutually beneficial areas.
This will be President Disanayaka’s first state visit to the Maldives since assuming office in September 2024.
The Maldives established diplomatic relations with Sri Lanka on 26 July 1965, and this year commemorates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
