4 arrested as police continue anti-drug operation in Malé, Gaafu Alif Atoll

The Maldives Police Service has arrested four people in connection with Operation Alimagu, an ongoing series of anti-drug operations being carried out in Malé and Gaafu Alif Atoll.
Police said on Sunday that the operation, which began in November last year, is continuing in both locations. An update shared by police on X stated that a total of 10 premises have been searched so far under the operation.
According to police, four individuals have been arrested in connection with the searches. No further details regarding the suspects or the nature of the offences were disclosed.
Police said the operation remains ongoing.
