SSC, O-Level exams begin with over 8,000 students
According to the ministry, the examinations are being conducted at 267 centres nationwide.

Ministry of Education said the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and O-Level examinations for this year began on Wednesday, with more than 8,000 students sitting the examinations.
According to the ministry, the examinations are being conducted at 267 centres nationwide. The first paper held on Wednesday was the SSC Dhivehi subject.
The ministry said a total of 8,218 students are registered to sit the examinations this year. Of the examination centres, 246 are located in the islands, while 21 centres are in the Greater Malé area.
The examinations will continue until March.
The ministry also said the O-Level examinations for Grade 10 students completing their studies this year are scheduled to begin in October.
Last year, 8,362 students sat for the O-Level examinations, which is higher than the number of candidates registered this year.
