Police seek public's help to identify vessel involved in speedboat collision

Police have appealed to the public for assistance in locating the second vessel involved in a collision with a speedboat near Izzudheen Jetty on Thursday night.
The collision involved the speedboat Legion 1 and another vessel, which left the scene immediately after the incident without stopping.
Five people on board Legion 1 were injured and taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment. The injured include four expatriate men and one Maldivian man.
In a statement issued on Friday night, police said an investigation into the collision is underway and efforts are continuing to identify and locate the second vessel.
Police have asked anyone with information about the vessel or the incident to contact the Marine Police Investigation Unit on 9926094.
