MVR 58m contract awarded for shore protection in 2 islands

Government on Thursday contracted MTCC to carry out shore protections works and harbour upgrade in two islands for MVR 58 million. 

At a ceremony held at the planning ministry, Director General Fathimath Shana Farooq and MTCC CEO Adam Azim signed the agreement. 

As per the two agreements:

  • Sh. Funadhoo shore protection project was awarded for MVR 20 million to be completed in about nine months

  • GDh. Fioari shore protection and harbour upgrade was awarded for MVR 38.9 million to be completed within 400 days
