Main ruling MDP on Monday launched its campaign for the by-election to the Guraidhoo parliamentary constituency.
Party candidate Ibrahim Shaz and other senior party leaders arrived in K. Gulhi Monday morning to kick-start the campaign. In the island, they went door-to-door, listened to the grievances of the people and sought support.
The team is to visit all three islands in the constituency on Monday.

The parliament seat in Guraidhoo constituency fell vacant after Ibrahim Riza passed away late last month while undergoing treatment for cancer.
