Students banned from wearing smartwatches
Students found violating these regulations will be dealt with in accordance with the 'Behaviour Management Policy' formulated by the Education Ministry.

Education ministry has issued a set of regulations prohibiting students from wearing smartwatches in schools across the country.
The regulation, gazetted last week, is aimed at building disciplined students.
As per the regulations, it is the responsibility of school principals to ensure that the regulation is implemented. It is also the responsibility of the students to adhere to it.
According to the regulations:

School children above Key Stage 2 can wear wrist watches, but smartwatches are prohibited

Girls can only wear a necklace and a stud on their ears with a school uniform in the form of jewellery; it is forbidden to go to school wearing dangling earrings

Girls are not allowed piercings apart from those on the ear lobe

No body parts of boys are allowed to be pierced

Boys should have short-trimmed hair

Hair colouring and dying is prohibited; hair should be kept clean

Male students shouldn't keep beards or moustaches

Club organisations should be participated in as per the 'procedure for conducting co-curricular activities' prescribed by the school or the ministry

Any programme using films, advertisements or media sources can be participated in only after a written representation is submitted to the ministry and the student is granted permission to participate in the event

Children of the age requiring compulsory education should not be sent to work; they can be given age-related jobs for training or apprenticeships without violating the Children's Rights Act
There are other things that are prohibited from being done by school children. These include:

Going out after 10pm without permission from parents

Vaping, smoking and carrying our trading them

Consumption of drugs and the sale of such items

Driving without a license

Use of school uniform in any activity other than an activity representing the school

Engaging in bullying and things that could lead to it

Marriage

Indulging in any act of indecency and any activity which may lead to such acts

Avoid breaching common social norms while using social media

Use of mobile phones during school hours; students in grades 11 and 12 can use them in school as per permission given by the school
Students found violating these regulations will be dealt with in accordance with the 'Behaviour Management Policy' formulated by the Education Ministry, it said.
