An 18-year-old man was seriously injured in a road accident in Hulhumale Phase II on Thursday.
The accident took place in Phase 2 when a car collided head-on with a motorcycle. The 18-year-old man on the two-wheeler was injured in the accident that took place on Nirolhu street, police said.
Police initially said that they received a report of the incident at 11:45 am and that the injured man was being treated at Hulhumale Hospital.
However, police later said that the victim was shifted to ADK Hospital in Male as he had suffered from brain haemorrhage.
The police are yet to give any further details about the cause of the accident.
