Maldives Correctional Service said on Sunday that discussions are underway to relocate its main office to the building where the Voice of Maldives is located in Maafannu.
The Corrections office, with over a hundred employees, is currently functioning on two floors of the Ghaazee Building -- the ground and the first floor.
The housing ministry has now asked the government offices operating there to vacate the dilapidated building. The building will be demolished and transformed to a parking zone.
Corrections told Atoll Times on Sunday that discussions are underway to shift its office to the Radio Building.
According to Corrections:

They are in talks with Public Service Media (PSM), which operates the Voice of Maldives radio channel along with several TV channels, to shift the office after they had been instructed to vacate the Ghaazee Building
