Students who finished the higher secondary examination last year and are eligible for the president's scholarship can now apply for the scholarship.
The higher education ministry said in an announcement that the government will fund a bachelor's degree programme for students who were high achievers in the higher secondary examinations.
The scholarship will be available:

Maldivian students who finished the higher secondary examination last year as a school student in the Maldives
-
Students who have secured A-star in five subjects including Islam and Dhivehi
-
Students who have finished C in English in GCE O-level/IGCSC or equivalent examination
The higher education ministry said that students who meet these criteria are invited to apply through the ministry's 'MyEdu portal' for admission in scholarships.
According to the scholarship policy:

In any country that the Maldives has recognised; the student will be allowed to study in any field of his/her choice

Students must begin their studies within 18 months of being granted

Students will have to get placements on their own
