The first phase of the Ameenee Magu, which was started during the previous government, will be completed and opened on Wednesday morning.
The Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure said in an X post on Wednesday evening:

The junction between Ameenee Magu and Izzuddin Magu and the junction between Kanba-Aisa-Rani street and Ameenee Magu will be opened to traffic at 6 am, Wednesday

MVR 84.4 million was spent on the development of Ameenee Magu. The former Planning Ministry, which had assigned the RDC to complete the work within 210 days, delayed it and gave a date for September last year. The work was not completed by that date and later it was said that the work would be carried out by the new government.
