British King Charles meets Maldives ex-pres Nasheed
Buckingham Palace announced King Charles' cancer diagnosis on February 5.

King Charles III of the United Kingdom, who is battling cancer, has met with former President and Secretary General of the Climate Vulnerable Fund (CVF) Mohamed Nasheed.
British newspapers reported that Charles met with Nasheed at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.
Details of the meeting were not disclosed.
King Charles was diagnosed with cancer when he was treated for an enlarged prostate.
Buckingham Palace had earlier said the King was undergoing treatment for cancer and is scheduled for surgery. Doctors had advised him to postpone his responsibilities, including going out in public.
Charles, however, continues to be active in official duties.
Nasheed who is still a lawmaker meanwhile temporarily resigned from active politics to take up the CVF Secretary General post.
