The Ministry of Education on Wednesday said that rumours circulating about a student of Al Madharusathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya (Arabiyya School) being married are untrue.
On Sunday, there were reports made on 'X' claiming that a 10th grade student at Arabiyya School, a boy under the age of 18, was married.
Education Ministry Media Coordinator Naja Khalid said the ministry had not received any such report or complaint.
However, when the issue came to the attention of the ministry and the ministry's School Safety, Health and Support Division paid special attention, she said.
“So far, the ministry has not discovered any such thing,” she said.
