The management of the MMPRC, the company established to promote Maldivian tourism, has undergone major changes in recent days. The managing director was sacked in May. The current position is held by Ibrahim Shiuree.
Earlier, the company's chairman Noorain Janah resigned from her post. Rafil Mohammed, who represents the tourism association MATI on the company's board, also resigned last month.
