Govt hosts seminar for religious organisations
The government provides resources and financial assistance to religious organisations.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs and religious organisations organised a seminar on Sunday to discuss the provision of various resources and financial assistance to religious organisations.
A seminar with 98 representatives from 70 religious organisations in Maldives was held at the Islamic Centre Sunday morning.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the seminar, Islamic minister Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said the assistance of the ministry is very much requested by the associations.

Associations also submit proposals for resources from the ministry
"Hopefully we will be able to provide them. But we have to arrange them through some arrangement system, in a way that will be documented," the minister said.
