A pickup truck driven by a child crashed into the perimeter fence of HDh. Kulhudhufushi Airport, causing a stir on social media after a video of the incident surfaced online on Monday.
The footage shows the pickup speeding towards the fence before colliding with it. Following the crash, two men exited the vehicle and drove it away, with a child among them.
Authorities have since confirmed that the vehicle was being driven by a minor below the legal driving age.
Police have seized the pickup, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the accident.
No injuries were reported.
