Hulhumale new pre-school opening delayed as term end nears
According to the Education Ministry, efforts are being made to open the Jameel Didi School for the second term.

Opening of the newly built 'Jameel Didi Pre-School' in Hulhumale Phase II was delayed due to the nearing of the end of the first term, education ministry said Saturday.
Education minister Dr Aishath Ali had said that the construction of the first pre-school in Hulhumale Phase II will be completed and classes will begin on 31 October.
The school, with a capacity of around 800 students, is located close to the Hiyaa Towers.
Next up to the school is Kameel Didi Primary School, which has already begun teaching.
When asked by Atoll Times about the non-commencement of classes in the school as was stated by the minister, an education ministry official said that the opening of the school was postponed as the first term of the academic year is about to be completed.
As per the calendar for the academic year:

First term will end on 22 December

First term break is 15 days

The second term will begin on 8 January
According to the ministry, efforts are being made to open the Jameel Didi School for the second term.
In the second phase, Kameel Didi Primary School is currently the only school for the residents of Phase II.
