ADK Hospital has brought in the latest model of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine with the hope of transforming the maldivian health system.
The Maldives' first-ever 3 Tesla MRI scanner, Siemens MAGNETOM Lumina 3T, was brought to the Maldives Thursday evening.
According to ADK, the machine, valued at over $3 million, will greatly improve the health system in the Maldives by:

reducing overall patient slot times

constantly achieving highly standardised and reproducible scan results

reducing patient anxiety with state-of-the-art in-bore infotainment and noise cancellation solution
It took more than 13 hours for the machine to reach ADK. Company chairman Ahmed Nashid thanked Male'City Council and the police for facilitating a smooth delivery.
