Liveaboard vessel runs aground
Coastguard officers are providing assistance to the Redmoon vessel which was on its way to Th. Dyamingili for maintenance works.

A liveaboard vessel with five people on board ran aground on Th. Madifushi reef Monday evening.
MNDF said it received reports of the incident around 7.40pm. Coastguard officers are providing assistance to the Redmoon vessel which was on its way to Th. Dyamingili for maintenance works, MNDF added.

Coastguard divers dived and examined the damage to the vessel and found two holes in the bottom part of the vessel.
The vessel is yet to be salvaged.
"No tourists were onboard. All the four crewmen are in good condition," MNDF said.
