An 18-year-old Maldivian man has been arrested by police in connection with the stabbing of a man in Addu Hithadhoo on Thursday, and has been remanded in judicial custody until the end of the trial.
According to a message sent by the police to the media on Saturday, the order was issued after the accused was produced before the Hithadhoo Magistrate's Court on Friday night.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the case and the case is being investigated, police said on the night of the incident.
