The government has completed the project awarded to MTCC for the expansion of HDh. Hanimaadhoo harbour.
MTCC said in a statement that the construction of the Hanimaadhoo harbour has been completed on April 1.
The cost of the project is MVR 65.15 million. Under the project:

19,870 cubic metres of embankment has been filled and 6,525 cubic metres of water has been filled
-
310 metres of land has sea walls
-
A 704-metre outer wall has been installed
-
A 140-metre revetment has been installed
-
A 90-metre groin was applied
-
Concrete pavement has been constructed over an area of 2,583 square metres
-
A jetty has been built
-
A bridge and a ramp have been constructed

Lagoon/reef lamps and port lights have been installed
According to MTCC, Hanimaadhoo, which is visited by a large number of people every day for various purposes, is also dependent on tourism and modernising the island's harbour will be a boost to the island's economy.
